When that dosent work, (like for me) cheat. You are going to get killed alot. All the time. Bye everybody. Its a real drag. You have to spend days killing slime things, neaked green draks, bats and other creatures as pathetic as your first level characters until you can hope to deal with the other dudes. Not until you are around level five can you walk around at night, and cruise the castles with any confidence. What I did was to cut doun this lag time by editing the character disk with DISKX, and boosting my dudes up to level 5. Then the game go fun. I still get killed, ALOT, but I dont wory about bats, gaurds etc. Alst, and more importantly, there are a lot of spells you need just to get around that are not avalible to first and second level characters. Too bad. I think that the game is logicly flawed in this matter. I mean, the emperor wouldn't send first level people to save the world, now would he. Oh well, it's easy to fix. The problem now is to resist temptation to go in and make my self 90th level, or some such nonsence. To operate spells, select the spell as in combat, and cast it by RIGHT clicking on the target. (I know, the documentation is wrong here.) There is a lot of good stuff in the first castle, you have to look at a lot of stuff, and try to operate them. Also, important stuff can be covered up by persons and things. Hey! is anyone interested in making a Drakken Map Reader-Saver? I am, but I would like some help, specificly for the disk reading part, and more importantly the datafile decodeing! Contact me if interested. Charlweed Hymerfan (A Major Dude)
