Well, the response to my question regarding the parallel port is that
it is much faster than a serial port.  Whereas I'm getting about
a page every 4-5 minutes now, with a serial port it could take as
long as 10-15 minutes per page.  I also found out that using a faster
Amiga will speed up printouts by quite a bit (good news for me, as I
will be getting a 3000 is <2 weeks (hopefully)).  Thanks to everybody
that responded!
