I formatted it without FFS, interleaved at 3. I use Addbuffers = 40 in my startup. Using Diskperf reports ~25K reads/sec when I mount it interleaved = 3 and ~35K reads/sec mounted interleaved = 0. Are these numbers reasonable? Should I re-format with interleave = 0? FFS? Both? How can I tell how many buffers I have already added to a device (I did another Addbuffers (50), and it **slowed down** Diskperf *quite* a bit??? Can/should this be posted regularly (for other drives as well)? thanks in advance, jim sims@starbase.mitre.org or sims@ai.mitre.org
