Thanks to all who have voted; remind your (interested) friends to vote too. Here are the voters who have responded so far; votes arriving are back down to a trickle, so check and make sure your vote is in here somewhere if you voted at least a couple of days before this posting, or look for the second call for votes for voting instructions (you can't just use "r"eply to vote) if you have not voted but want to do so. The format used here is "userid mail-address real-name-or-cutsie-slogan", sorted by userid. A few attributions would not fit on one line, and have been split to two lines. I hope this format proves convenient to use for confirming that your vote was received; it was a lot of work to create by hand. It would be a big help to the vote takers if some kind mail guru would write a program to select and parse the "From: " lines of mail and create a list like this one from a mailbox-full of votes, and post the software to alt.sources or comp.sources.{misc,unix}. Let me know if there are any problems here. I have one of my own already; I don't particularly care for accepting votes from "root" or "sysop" or "news"; I'd prefer a guidelines rule change to forbid votes from accounts not reliably identifiable with a real human being by people not on the same system, to remove fuel for allegations of fraud, but for now, under the current rules, they stay.
