The kermit problem, and possibly the rest, seems to be that I am entering my office Sun computer via a terminal server and then telnetting over to my Sun. So the device the Sun kermit sees is /dev/ttyp6 or some such network pseudo-terminal and I don't know if that is why kermit does not even begin to tranfer any bytes. x/y/z-modem send 2K or 16K, before it starts giving errors. Can I perform binary file tranfers via this multihop situation or do I need to find a direct inbound CPU? Thanx in advance... -- Max Heffler internet: max@lgc.com Landmark Graphics Corp. uucp: ..!uunet!lgc!max 333 Cypress Run, Suite 100 phone: (713) 579-4751 Houston, Texas 77094
