The conclusion was that if you boot with 'simmfix', then it would all be available for use with no problems. If you boot without simmfix, the machine will think you have 4meg available (assuming you put the two 1meg chips in the first two slots). Obiously this could be a problem if it tries to access the 1.5meg at the top that doesn't exist. So now I have a new question for you - can anyone tell me how the STe uses the memory it's got - if I got this system, I would be using simmfix on all my 'serious' disks, but things which autoboot (games :-) wouldn't have it. Is this likely to cause a problem? Please reply be email, I'll summarise to the net. Thanks Steve
