Keywords: RAM Expander, 1764, 1750, OLD C64 Message-ID: <2153@vela.acs.oakland.edu> Date: 21 Jul 90 13:10:47 GMT Organization: Oakland University, Rochester MI. Lines: 15 I heard, years ago, that the old C64's would have problems running a RAM expander. I forgot that fact, and bought one to use with my BBS. The problem is, I found out that the rumor was true. The RAM expander (a 1764, modified to 512K) won't work on the C64, but works just fine on my Commodore 128. Is there a way to change the C64, so that the RAM expander will work? I want to keep the BBS on the C64 (I had the spare computer, so I put up the BBS and don't want to run it on my "good" computer.) Thanks in advance. Terry Steyaert (steyaert@vela.acs.oakland.edu) Alias, The Guard, SysOp, The Software Pool. (313)463-8777. 20.5 Meg
