The MKS package is the only licensed version allowed on the market (to my knowledge). Walter Tichy (RCS author) will license RCS for resale to companies who want to do this (after some discussion, of course), but this will be a non-exclusive world-license. All other versions of RCS must be: a) the GNU version (v4); b) covered by your AT&T license or equivalent (re:AT&T diff and diff3); c) licensed in some way through Walter Tichy; or d) may not be sold. Walter keeps a pretty tight reign on his copyright and I support him in the way that he has chosen to do this. e.g. Mainly to prevent people from illegally using AT&T sources. He is very willing to let any one use RCS and therefore the reason for the GNU port. ] [My only connection with MKS is as a satisfied customer.] We toyed with the idea of selling RCS on one of our alternate operating systems. The price was relatively cheap, too. ~$5000. -- Frotz [God is real, unless declared integer]
