Looking for some help with Xebec drives.   I tried to reformat a drive
because of bad spots but created an unusable drive.  This drive has
just one cable.and No third party software will low level format it.l
I tried Speedstor, Disk Manager and Disk Technition.  There doesn't
seem to be a prom on the board so I cant' use debug.  The problem I
am having is once I did Dos format the drive wouldn't write anymore
but Norton Disk Doctor said everything was ok.  There are some utilities
that came with the drive to do a low level format (which seems to work
until it gets to the end when it writes the flaw table and gives an
error message.  I then use the software that came with it to partition
it and that seems to work ok also.  If I use Fdisk to partition it,Fdisk
Fdisk just hangs.  I still can't write to the drive.

Does anyone know or have one of these drives and know what I'm talking
about. I would appreciate any help.
