I have a Clone AT with 286 Modular BIOS 3.03 from Award Software Inc. 
and EGA BIOS v5.1 from Everex. Currently, I am using MS DOS v3.3.

At DOS prompt level, I cannot type ahead, otherwise the machine dies,
espcially if type-ahead characters have one or more carriage returns.

Does anybody out there know what is the problem, and how can I fix it?

It is so frustrated since I have got used to type ahead.
