Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA Lines: 21 I need to get a new or different BIOS for an AT/386 clone. It appears that the Phoenix BIOS version currently installed does not correctly initialize ROM extensions on a warm reboot. I discovered this after hours of watching my new SCSI controller work fine from a cold boot on its own, but get ignored when I hit reset. The tech support person at Always Technologies(?) (IN-2000 SCSI Controller Board manuafacturer) confirmed my fears that the system BIOS was the culprit. The questions I need answers to include: 1] Is a BIOS chip specific to the whole motherboard, or just the chip set, in this case C&T 386? 2] Does anyone know the address and/or phone numbers of Phoenix, AMI, and Award? 3] Has anyone else had similar problems and what was their solution? Inquiring minds.... Thanks in advance.
