There appears to be a limit (NOFILES) on the number of files a particular user can have open. A/UX 1.1 is hard coded at the kernel level for a max. of 32 files per user. This limit is independent of the number of system wide files that can be opened. Has anyone else run into this limit besides us? Can anyone recommend a go around, besides not opening this many files? Thanks in advance. Don Ware Krantz & Ware Consultants, Inc. Lovelace Technology Center 1501 W. Main St Peoria, Ill 61625 (309) 682-4224 dware!macknife!bradley
