The recording enclosed is not a new one (however, it's arguably the best--the one with Joan Sutherland and Marilyn Horne in the finale), and there is no videodisc link, but the quality of the analysis, and the richness of its (hypercard) interconnectedness, is truly wondrous. Robert Winter did the writing, and assisted with the very elegant screen layouts, proving that the key to doing something like this is to get one of the absolute top minds in the field to provide the text. The medium matters little if what's being presented isn't valuable. Jon
