Setup:
Mac IIcx, system 6.0.4, ZTerm 0.85 or 0.8
HP9000/350, HP/UX 7.0, rz v1.14 and sz v1.23
Amiga with many and varied comm programs
ibmpc with many and varied comm programs

Works fine with me (zterm & sz 3.03), b/n a SE and a HP 9000/830 
running hp-ux 3.1.

Maybe you need a fresher version of rz/sz ?
