Unless the scanner is turned on, or disconnected from the computer, processing time is extremely slow. We understand this is a common problem for SCSI peripheral devices. Leaving them turned on, or connecting and disconnecting the cable, is unsatisfactory in our case. Is there a solution to this problem that we've overlooked? mahony@milton.washington.edu .
