Daniel Sternbergh) Organization: Stanford University, Scool of Enginereing Lines: 15 We have a ci the hard disk of which occasionally makes a whirring sound, like one would expect the hard disk to make when spinning, only disturbingly loud. It is intermittent, more frequent shortly after start-up, and dims perceptibly when the hard disk is actually being accessed (i.e. when the light is on). Does this sound familiar to anyone? Does this sound like something I should be really concerned about? Any idea what might be causing it?
