Message-ID: <43357@apple.Apple.COM> Date: 26 Jul 90 15:37:29 GMT Distribution: comp.sys.mac.misc Organization: Apple Computer Inc, Cupertino, CA Lines: 23 I was contacted by a person who is responsible for a group of 110 VERY non- techie Mac users, with a problem: when she receives a software update, she currently needs to physically go to each user's machine and install the new software (apparently these guys are not very capable of doing this). What she wants to know is if there is any installer programs on the market. She feels confident she could write scripts to do what she wants; she could put the "update installer" and the new software on a common network server and have her users launch it, the installer taking care of everything else. Is there such a program out there? Any thoughts, suggestions? A weary Mac administrator is hoping there is a solution.
