Summary: Why is MacWarehouse selling Fullwrite for $55? Keywords: FullWrite Message-ID: <1990Jul27.013825.27800@csrd.uiuc.edu> Date: 27 Jul 90 01:38:25 GMT Sender: usenet@csrd.uiuc.edu (news) Distribution: na Organization: Univ of Illinois, Center for Supercomputing R&D, Urbana, IL Lines: 16 Yesterday I received a catalog in the mail from MacWarehouse with a full page ad selling FullWrite Professional for $55. The ad says this is a limited time offer while supplies last. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is Ashton-Tate pulling the plug on FullWrite, or just giving a huge volume discount to MacWarehouse? Also, should I buy this program? I've heard a lot of good things about it, but I've also heard it is slow and memory-hungry. I'm using a Mac SE with 2.5MB RAM and a 20MB hard drive. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scott Forbes University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign forbes@uicsrd.csrd.uiuc.edu Center for Supercomputing Research & Development Disclaimer: This job doesn't pay much, but it does wonders for my .signature
