A problem I used to have with MacPuke is that when it is installed, you can no longer unmount AppleShare volumes by dragging them to the trash. You have to go through the Chooser. Disclaimer: I saw this happen on several Macs, but cannot guarantee that it was not a conflict with another INIT, or that it was not just a conflict with a particular System version or AppleShare version. As always, your mileage may vary. This might ver a more recent version of the INIT then I used to have, but I had it for several years and never found a newer version. I fixed the problem by putting MacPuke's SND resource into a sound suitcase (with FKEY/Sound Mover) and assigng the SND to eject events in MasterJuggler. (The last of which I highly recommend as an alternative to SoundMaster, unless SoundMaster no longer creates the nasty memory problems it used to. Here at Dartmouth, we would have students assign megs & megs of sounds for various events, then ask us Student Assistants why their systems always crashed....) Ciao, Danno -- || Daniel McKinnon ||Ho!
