The Viper cannot read QIC-11. If QIC-11 is a necessity, look at the
Wangtek 5150. This drive reads QIC-11, QIC-24, and QIC-150. The drive
writes QIC-150.  This is *not* a sun supported drive, but can be found at
many third party Sun integrators (Artecon being one of them).  The drive
is functionally equivalent to the Viper.
