The Xylogics 7053 is the Sun SMD4 controller.  It is a "Sun-sized" (9U)
form factor SMD disk drive controller.  The Xylogics 753 is a 6U form
factor equivalent.  Originally only the 753 was available through
Xylogics' distributors but now both controllers can be purchased from
distributors.
