Tell your bookstore that they're dorks.

Then, you can order any TeX-related publications you want from
the TeX Users Group:

They take Visa and Mastercard and I believe they have the newest
printings of the TeXbook and MFbook (describing versions 3.0 and
2.0 respectively).
