I have a student using TeXtures on a Macintosh to do his thesis.  It would
be very helpful to have a version of deTeX for stripping out the LaTeX and
TeX commands, leaving an ascii file that could then be passed on to a 
spelling and/or grammer checking utility.

So, is there a version of deTeX for the Mac?  Failing that, would it be
difficult to take the sources and build a version?  Are the sources 
available
in C?
