I received a number of responses. There is at least on site with a driver but it used some specially made fonts, not the "usual" ones. Other than that, the other suggestions were to purchase a special cartridge that would allow the 4045 to emulate a HP LaserJet. Neither of those solutions was satisfactory. Instead, it turned out that one of the drivers in Beebe's release series (for the GOLDEN- DAWN printer) used an encoding scheme similar to, but not identical with the Xerox scheme. Unfortunately, the GOLDENDAWN died a quiet death some time ago and Beebe indicated that that code was not well checked. It was a start. And now it works. So, if you have the beebe 2.10 driver package, all you need is dvixrx.c :-) I will happily provide the source to anyone who wants it. The 2.10 package is available via ftp from somewhere, so that I can't send out. Jack Robertson
