Esix had problems with the Gateway 2000 disk controller! It's a UltrStore and up till a few month ago the didn't run Esix. Now UltraStore has a new version of the controller software (which i have on my board) and everything runs fine. I had my Harddisk AND my controller exchanged by Gateway for free. Great service. I got a CDC Wren (which has a little less storage than the Micro- polis but is faster and more reliable etc) and the new controller with the upgraded software. You will need at least the new drive. Then you have to dis- able the cache and all the goodies on the controller and Unix should run. Better get the better controller. Gateway helped me very good, i can only recommend them. I talked to a supervisor there, his name is Rusty, he knows what's going on. You could also call UltraStore and ask for Andrew Leong, but he will direct you to Gateway... Good luck
