This code will be scattered over several machines of different manufacture, all running some version of Unix supporting NFS. Since parts of the application will be located on different machines and thus in different directories, there could be problems using existing source code control systems (like SCCS and RCS) in performing 'gets' (or their equivalent). Does anyone know if there is work going on to upgrade SCCS or RCS so they would be suitable for managing such distributed source code. If so, what are the nature of the upgrades? Or perhaps someone knows of some other product that might help us achieve our goals. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Please email responses to me. If there is sufficient interest, I'll be glad to post a summary. mb booloo@lll-crg.llnl.gov
