Message-ID: <1990Jul20.083845.1@rogue.llnl.gov> Date: 20 Jul 90 15:38:45 GMT Sender: usenet@lll-winken.LLNL.GOV Organization: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Lines: 21 Can someone please tell me what acceptable numbers are when you do a netstat -i ??? We are trying to look at a problem on the network and I'm not sure if we are seeing a problem or not. We live on a fairly busy network. It is inhabited by Sun Dec and Mac systems. Thick and thin ethernet is used.. Also when you spray a system is there a acceptable number of dropped packets. I used the command spray -c 1000 node and say anywhere from 40-90% dropped.. Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks Susanne Ramsey Unix System Administartor in-training Lawrence Livermore Laboratory ramsey@sundance.llnl.gov Livermore Ca 94550 (415) 423-9530
