I have a similar problem with himem.sys - the keyboard locks with it
installed, works under windows, and then acts strangely upon exiting
windows.  While others have found that the keyboard was reenabled upon
exiting windows, I have found that the keyboard will only work for a
limited (and apparently random) number of keystrokes. I am also using
an award bios....
