Yes. MS does offer educational pricing on initial purchases to
Educational Institutions.  They do not sell direct to inidividuals
at the Educational prices.  Discounts are in the 35% to 40% range.

MS Educational sales can be reached at: (800) 227-4679
They will answer the phone Corporate Sales or something like that.
Just ignore the response and ask for the Educational Sales Rep 
for your institution.
