I can not be silent any longer. Until there is a separate news group for MS-Windows specific binaries, I have no problem with this. Our site, like many others, can not (or at least, we are not allowed to) FTP binary files, and comp.binaries.ibm.pc seems far too general. So: What would it take to start a MS-Windows specific binary group? (Also, I would prefer if .EXE/.COM files were not ZIP'ed, to remove one additional chance for corruption. Personal opinion...)
