If one has any intent in making some really fantastic macros, for example, the book is a must. I'm a bit miffed that Microsoft made the reference optional and requires another $20 or so to buy it. Indra's correct on the book's being available at most of the bookstore chains. I've seen it most everywhere. Further, it comes out cheaper to buy it from your local bookstore than to buy it direct from Microsoft and have to pay shipping. And lastly, with it being in the bookstore, it does give you the chance to take a peek first and see if you can make do without the reference at the present time. If you're into programming, I imagine you'll buy the book. WordBASIC can do some pretty spiffy things -- including allowing you to fix some minor bugs. I rewrote the super- and sub-script macros (an awful lot of W4W features are actually macros) to shrink the point size of the super/subscripted characters the way the book says it's supposed to do in the first place. Pretty neat! Enjoy! Bill Faggart Dept. of Geological Science University of Rochester Rochester, New York
