I use XEDIT(R4) for editing under X (I prefer it to vi or emacs, but
sometimes I haave to switch back to vi).

I tried to figure out why every time I edit a file it is saved as 
EXECUTABLE. Is there anybody who could tell me what resource should
I change or do whatever necessary?

BTW, the older version of XEDIT (R3) had an UNDO and JUMP which
I miss very much. In man pages I saw aan explanation that UNDO
is not supported (it is BAD). What about JUMP? Any idea whether
I can do it?

Is there any alternate mouse-based editor under X? Any references would
be VERY appreciated.
