It would be absolutely wonderful if the current build configuration could support a macro which support placing the binaries created by the build process into another tree. This would *significantly* help us that support X on several OS's at the same time. (from a single source tree due to disk space constraints..) Currently I have to "clean" various directories each time I install new patches to both mit and contrib sources. I confess (obviously to some :-) that I haven't spent much time investigating the feasability of this yet. I will.
