Dan, At first I thought no problem. Until I blew off the dust from my copy and read the manual. I was sure you could configure it to write through BIOS like the shareware version. I could not find it though. If you really don't need the new features the plus version offers, I would recommend you use the shareware version. It speaks very well. Commercial time! Also, just to let you know, Vocal-Eyes has a read box feature. Procomm plus uses boxes when it displays information on the screen. If all you want is for the contents of the box to be spoken, you can press a single key (the keystroke is your choice) and Vocal-Eyes will find and read the entire box. You can even take this one step farther. By using the cursoring keys of Vocal-Eyes, you can setup when you press the procomm plus keystroke which displays a box to tell Vocal-Eyes to automatically speak the box. For example, ALT-Z is the help screen. You can inform Vocal-Eyes when you press ALT-Z, after procomm plus has placed the box on the screen to speak it to you. No additional keystrokes and best of all NO MACROS! O.K. end of commercial!
