Ciao !
My name is Mauro, I am 35 years old, Italian, living in Italy.
This is my story: I received a good education from 6 to 21 years.
Then I started working in the field of investment funds, with
good result, until 1986, when something bad took place; something
went wrong in my left ear and later in my right ear.
I went through all sort of treatment and now my degree of hearing
impairment is about 90% (with earing aid 75%).
The result is that I lost my previous job.
I thought about the situation and I came to the conclusion that I
should find a new job (with new skills) that I could carry out at
my house, in a noiseless environment and using tools and system
requiring limited or no hearing power.
I have spent three years trying to adapt to the new situation,
providing myself with a completely new education in the computer
science area (programming, etc.) and supplying myself with the
necessary equipment: personal computer, fax machine, printer,
modem, etc.
NOW I'D LIKE TO OPEN A BULLETIN BOARD SYSTEM FOR THE INFORMATION
IN FAVOUR OF DISABLED PEOPLE HERE IN ITALY NEAR VENEZIA WHERE I
LIVE.
I need to receive information all news about American BBS working
in social service area and anything that could be help to me to
implement my BBS project.
