Message-ID: Date: 25 Jul 90 23:11:12 GMT Distribution: news Organization: Advansoft Research Corp, Santa Clara, CA Lines: 32 I periodically get messages from c news that it tossed an article ( saving the whole batch it was in ) Looking at the batch, I see the article tossed always follows a strange-looking article: #! rnews 2048 [ followed by 2048 bytes of nulls and other 8-bit characters, interspersed with what looks like hostnames, batch file names, lock file names, etc., etc. ] followed by: #! rnews nnn and the nnn-byte article which gets tossed. The tossing occurs, I presume, because the 2048th byte of the weird article is not separate by a newline from the #! signalling the start of the tossed article. What are these weird articles and why do they confuse relaynews? thanks.. Chet. -- Chet Wood ~ (408)727-3357 chet@Advansoft.Com .
