Crispin Cowan) Newsgroups: rec.audio.high-end Subject: Lenco L78 Info Wanted Message-ID: <5208@uwm.edu> Date: 20 Jul 90 17:26:14 GMT Sender: news@uwm.edu Lines: 28 Approved: tjk@csd4.csd.uwm.edu Please respond by mail to oheare@gandalf.ca . I can't post to (or read from) rec.* groups. I'm now the proud owner of a Lenco L78 turntable. It claims to have been made in Switzerland, the dates inside indicate in 1973. It's a continuously-variable speed table, spinning from about 12-13 RPM to about 90 RPM(!) or so. Having bought it used, I have no documentation on it at all. Does anyone out there have an owner's manual, or (dare I hope?) a service manual that they might be willing to photocopy? I'll gladly pay any copy/shipping costs, etc. Does anyone know anything about Lenco? The beast is obviously well made -- careful machining, etc. Are they still in business, did they get absorbed by somebody else, or have they simply gone the way of all good things? Are parts available? I seem to need the anti-skating arrangement -- I'd guess a wire bracket, a nylon filament and a weight. I'd also really like a new headshell or two. Any ideas, anybody? Please e-mail or snail-mail -- our site does not receive any rec.* newsgroups. Any information greatly appreciated.
