Admittedly i am not tooooo familiar with the II, but I know that the III is the model that put oracle on the map again. I have seen the IV and listened to it and i prefer the III. -the platter is HARD plastic not the sticky rubber mat that oracle used to claim was imperitive -the screw-down clamp _much_ heavier. i really do not knwo why this is because the screw is the clamping device, not the weight. i guess the center of mass is , ummmmm centered. -the finish is no longer the brushed aluminum but some kinda gold/brass colour. looks very cheap in my eye. -the sound seemed very cold. detail was there, and soundstage was okay,,, but i just did not feel good about it.
