Mike has dropped the TI chip in favor of the Motorola.
The benefits of the new chip are:

1. 24 bit data path vs 16 for the TI.  I don't think
he's actually using this feature, it's just that he'd like
to have the option of doing 24 bit processing in the future.

2. The Motorola has more flexible addressing modes than the
TI.
