In a recent isue of Grand Street (a literary magazine), there is an
extended excerpt from the memoirs of James Salter, who was a fighter pilot
in the Korean Conflict.  He discusses being in dog-fights, the rivalries
and friendships between the pilots, etc.  It's very interesting, and very
well-written.  I don't have the issue number with me, but it's mentioned on
the cover of the magazine.
