Although I've read through all the nice glossy ads > Fox sent me, Why not try Clipper from Nantucket. It is not an interpreter, which is a disadvantage during developement but one can construct mice interfaces with it and it does produce executable file which do not require the end user to purchase anything from Nantucket. It is also very fast compared to DbaseIII. It is a solid and reliable product. My experience has been with summer 87 clipper. I have no experience with latest version.
