 Alan,    
     To change colors in Pygmy, type   $bf00 ATTR ! where b is the background
color and f is the foreground color.  For  example,  $6000 ATTR ! for black on
tan, $6A00 ATTR ! for green on tan,   $0A00 ATTR ! for green on black.

     Once you find the colors you like, edit $6000 ATTR ! into (BOOT on  scr
#3074, then do

     3074 LOAD
     SAVE  <newname>.COM

 so the new colors will come up automatically next time.  (And/or make  the
change to RESET on scr #3075, replacing HEX 0700 with your number,  and regen
Pygmy.)
