There are systems out here that don't have sendmail, mmdf, or pop, but that handle mail quite well. I have ported MH 6.7 to SVR4, and run into a basic design flaw in the SVR4 mail surrogates. Basically, any mail that comes in via SMTP and then has to go back out due to it being non-local, will have its headers all screwed up. This flaw can be seen without MH, but MH triggers it every time. It seems to me that the basic problem with adding /bin/mail as an MH mts is that MH seems to depend on the mts being able to get the recipients from the header, and /bin/mail requires that recipients be found on the command line. -- ...David Elliott ...dce@smsc.sony.com | ...!{uunet,mips}!sonyusa!dce ...(408)944-4073 ..."Damn!
