Sciences, Lexington KY Lines: 18 While we're on the subject of UUPC... One of the difficulties with 1.06 apparently lay in its tendency to hang at odd moments during transfer. Something about a 0 length packet etc. We have a number of our sites who have upgraded to 1.07j and are proceeding swimmingly. Others have had to reinstall 1.06 since the program balks even during the dial-up....or during the original synchronization sequences immediately after logging on...or somewhere else entirely. Is there a way to patch 1.06 with the "fix" for the 0 length packet. Or am I really just confusing issues here? As a virtual layman regarding these things, I feel like I'm pointing to an alternator and calling it the vermifuge. Many thanks for your patience and comments. -- jeff davis davis@keats.ca.uky.edu part of the world of American bad actors who, when the chips are down, go to Florida...
