  Here's something that I've had a problem with:

I'll uuencode a file at work (on a UNIX box), then download it to
my PC (under DOS), then read it over to minix (dosread (-a?)).
When I uudecode it, it works, but it says 'short file.'  When I look
at the file, it's about 95% intact, but every here and there the
characters are fried...

  Any ideas?
