PCRouter sounds like something we are looking for here I assume it's a piece of software to run on a dedicated machine to keep pc-lan traffic off an internet? Something like this? [PC]---[PC]---[server]---[xt running pc router]-------[Other hosts, etc] (All ---connections are ethernet) And the PCRouter keeps traffic like pcs trying to run pc applications off the server from going to the other hosts, but allows things like mail, ftp, and telnet packets that should go outside the PClan through. Am I right? Does just the PCRouter station get a node address? (ie, would the LAN just have one mail address -- eg) user@PCLAN@domain) If this product does that, or anybody has recommendations for one that does, Please e-mail me. I'll post or mail results if desired. Thanks Dave -- * Dave Erickson * * erickson@carroll1.cc.edu * "If we weren't all crazy, we would go insane." - Jimmy Buffet
