I've just drilled a hole in the window and fed a bunch of hookup wire
out the hole to make a WWV antenna.  It's not wonderful but it was a
whole lot less work than arguing with the Kampus Keystone Kops about
getting onto the roof to put up a real antenna.

By making the first 10 feet or so coax cable, I was able to cut down the
vax noise from the old unshielded 780 in the room.
