I have heard that Andrew has been used by various vendors as a "stress test" for their X servers, because it does things that are legitimate but not done by non-Andrew applications. Apparently Sun didn't use Andrew as a stress test for Open Windows -- more's the pity. My guess, intuition, or whatever, is that the problems are bugs in OpenWindows, and should be reported to Sun, for whatever good that will do...
