How much are the IBMer's going to have to pay for: Amiga Multitasking OS Included Unix-like Shell Included Several useable Text Editors Included* Sort Program Included Disk Maintenance Utilities Included Application Independant Printer Drivers Included Database/Multimedia Authoring System AmigaVision** Interprocess communication utility ARexx** Not to mention: Paint program w/Animation support DPaint III Desk-Top Publishing w/color you choose C Compiler you choose etc. The point is often made that software for the Amiga is less expensive than for Mac or IBM. But a more important difference in cost is that to get a minimally functional IBM system can cost over $1000 for software that the Amiga has out of the box. And even then the equivalent of some of the standard Amiga software is not available at any price for the IBM. -- Robert I.
