does anyone have a working TAR(1) anywhere????

the recent "pax" posting, when executed as TAR, requests
a volume RDF:, and then promptly gurus....

what pray tell is RDF:, and why wasn't any Amiga-specific
documentation provided with the distribution???
(the Unix docs sure help a hell of a lot, being in nroff format
and all... thanks, but no thanks...)
(oh yes, when Pax is run as "pax" it doesn't guru, it just locks up
and freezes...)
